Getting Started
Thank you for purchasing the Dual BAK1500 compact amplified subwoofer.
Although Dual has attempted to ensure the information in this manual is

Please read entire manual before installation. Due to the technical nature of
amplifiers, it is highly recommended that your Dual BAK1500 is installed by a
professional installer or an authorized dealer.
Before You Start
•Alwaysdisconnectthenegativebatteryterminal.Consultaqualifiedtechnician
for instructions if you are unsure.
•Avoidinstallingtheamplifierwhereitwouldbesubjecttohightemperatures,
such as from direct sunlight, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or
excessivevibration.
•Useextremecautionwhendrillingholestoavoiddamagingfuellinesor
existingvehiclewiring.
•Allamplifierinstallationsrequirepower,signalandspeakerwires(not
included).
•Anamplifierinstallationkit(soldseparately)ishighlyrecommendedto
facilitatetheinstallation.Consultyourdealerforrecommendations.
Mounting Location
•Foroptimumperformance,makesuretoprovideatleast1"ofspacearoundall
sides of the amplifier.
•DonotmounttheBAK1500undercarpetsorwhereairflowisrestricted.
•DonotinstalltheBAK1500whereitmaybeexposedtomoisture.
•Theoptimummountinglocationvariesbetweenvehicles.Remembertotestall
amplifier functions before completing the final mounting procedure.
