CONNECTION TO VEHICLE BATTERY (LED BACKLIGHT CORD)
Special features when the red lead of the LED light cord is connected to the lead that receives current when the ignition
is switched on.
-When the ignition is turned on, the LED light receives current from the vehicle's battery and turns on.
-The power source is automatically changed from the internal battery to the vehicle battery in order to conserve the
internal battery's power.
-Auto change function operates, and the time is automatically displayed about 30 seconds after the ignition is switched
off.
In order to make maximum use of this function, the following wiring is recommended.
*For two-wheeled vehicles: Using the coupler ○ 4 , connect the red lead of the LED light cord to the lead that
receives current when the ignition or the lights are switched on.
*For four-wheeled vehicles: Using the coupler ○ 4 , connect the read lead of the LED light cord to the lead that
receives current when the lights are switched on.
*Connecting to ground (GND)- connect the black lead of LED light cord to the vehicle ground or ground lead.
*Colors of the major positive battery leads are listed below by manufacturer.

*The lead colors listed above may differ depending on the model.
*On vehicles where it is impossible to connect to the vehicle battery, a 9V dry cell (006P) may be used instead.
