SENSOR INSTALLATION
NOTE: When this digital temperature gauge is installed on vehicles already equipped with a stock water temperature
gauge or a temperature sensor, the sensor on this gauge replaces the one on the stock gauge. The stock gauge and the
warning lamp will no longer function.
-On many models, replacing the stock gauge contained in the thermostat housing with this meter is necessary. On some
vehicles, the gauge is attached directly to the cylinder.
If there are two sensors in the thermostat housing, one is for the radiator fan and the other is for the water temperature
and warning light. Replace the water temperature/warning light sensor.
-The sensor's threads are tapered (PT1/8). DO NOT screw this sensor into any other size thread.
-The supplied sensor can only be used for this digital temperature gauge. DO NOT use any other type of sensor, including
ones for earlier Daytona temperature gauges (Daytona part #14655 or #14656)
-The colors of the major leads on the thermostat unit are as follows.
Manufacturer Color of main leads for thermostat unit
Honda Green/Blue
Yamaha Green/Red
Suzuki Black/Green
Kawasaki Yellow or Yellow/White
