1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union
Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that
disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm the
environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as
unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a
specialized company for recycling. This device should be
returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service.
Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.
Thank you for choosing Perel! Please read the manual thoroughly before
bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit,
don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
The GMK2LAMP contains 4 UV-lamps for use with i.a. the photo-
catalyst mosquito lamp (GMK2).
2. Safety Instructions
Do not use any liquids when cleaning the traps’ internal
parts. Only use the brush that came with the mosquito trap.
Do not stare at the light from the UV-lamp. Permanent eye
damage may occur.
Keep this device away from rain and moisture.
3. Replacing the UV-lamp
Refer to the pictures on page 2 and 3 of this manual.
• Switch off the lamp and disconnect the mains.
• Remove the collecting container (1). To do this, twist the container
counter clockwise and pull (see picture A).
• Remove the 4 screws that keep the lamp holder section (2) and
fan section (3) together (see picture B).
• Pull the lamp holder section (2) and fan section (3) apart. Be
careful not to damage the electrical leads. The cone (4) can also be
removed if necessary (see picture C).
• To remove the UV-lamp, gently turn it a quarter and pull it out of
the sockets.
• Place the new UV lamp in the sockets and turn a quarter to secure
it.
• Re-position the cone (4), guiding the electricity leads through the
gap.
• Put the lamp holder section (2) on top of the fan section (3) with
the screw holes lined up, making sure the electrical leads don’t get
damaged. Push until a click is heard and remount the 4 screws.
• Re-install the collecting container (1). Place it on the fan section
(3) and turn clockwise until it is secured.
