5. Setup
Use a cable with a 5-pin connector to connect the source of the DMX signal with the DMX input
of this device. When using several LPTDX424E's : connect the output of the first DMX power
pack with the input of the next DMX power pack. It is possible to connect a max. of 12 DMX
power packs in parallel (512 separate channels).
6. Chase Pattern and Channel Testing
There are two options when no device is connected to the DMX input :
1) a chase pattern (CH1, 2, 3, 4, CH1, 2, etc.…). The speed is adjustable (with ▼ and ▲)
and the speed setting upon activation is always 1 step per 2 seconds.
2) channel testing. Press 1, 2, 3 or 4 to test the channels. Press 5 to test the strobe. Select
the desired function with the FUNC button.
7. Programming the Starting Address
Use the DIP switches to set the start address, which is always defined through binary encoding.
Examples
01010010 = 0 + 2 + 0 + 8 + 0 + 0 + 64 + 0 = 74
10001110 = 1 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 16 + 32 + 64 + 113
8. Cleaning and Maintenance
1. All screws should be tightened and free of corrosion.
2. The housing, mounting supports and connections should not be modified or tampered with
e.g. do not drill extra holes in mounting supports, do not change the location of the
connections, …
3. The electric power supply cables should be undamaged. Have this device installed by a
qualified technician.
9. Caution
•
Disconnect the device from the mains prior to maintenance.
•
Use a moist cloth to clean the device and avoid the use of alcohol or solvents for cleaning
purposes.
•
This device does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Replace a blown fuse with an
identical one.
•
Spare parts should be ordered with your local dealer.
