Installation/operation

Refer to the illustration on page 2 of this manual.
1. Open the table clamp [1] by twisting the T-handle counter clockwise.
2. Slide the clamp [1] over a suitable and solid horizontal surface capable of carrying it, T-handle at the

bottom. Do not attach to round objects e.g. tubes.

3. Twist the T-handle clockwise until the clamp [1] is firmly secured to the surface.
4. Slide the stem [2] of the lamp into the hole on top of the clamp.
5. Plug the power cable into a suitable mains outlet.
6. Switch on the lamp with the On/Off button [6] on top of the lamp.
7. The magnifying lens [5] is protected by a hard cover [3]. Fold it upwards to use the lens. Do not force.

Always close it when not in use to avoid fire hazard (sunlight).

Replacing the lamp

1. Unplug the device from the mains and let the fluorescent lamp

cool down before replacing it.

2. The lamp is located behind a plastic diffuser.

Place a small flat screwdriver between diffuser and housing as

indicated [1]. Gently push on the screwdriver. Lift this end of the

diffuser [2] and slide [3].

3. Carefully pull the defective lamp from its socket.
4. Install a new lamp (type PL 9W 2G7, order code LAMP09PL/2) into

the socket.

5. Put the diffuser back.

Caution: If the plastic diffuser is damaged, disconnect the lamp immediately from the mains. The diffuser is

not replaceable. Do not use the lamp with a cracked or broken diffuser.
