8 .5 Software update
T he software version of VEGAFLEX 62 can be determined as follows:
l
on the type label of the electronics
l
via the indicating and adjustment module
l
via PACTware

M ake use of this advantage and get registered for update information
via e-mail.
T he following components are required to update the sensor software:
l S ensor
l V oltage supply
l VEGACONNECT
l PC with PACTware
l C urrent sensor software as file
A t "www.vega.com/downloads" go to "Software". Select under "plics
instruments and sensors" the suitable instrument series. Load the zip
fi
le via the right mouse key with "Save target as" e.g. on the desktop of
your PC. Extract all files available in the zip file, e.g. to the desktop.
C onnect the sensor to power supply and provide connection from PC
to the instrument via VEGACONNECT. Start PACTware and provide
connection to the sensor, e.g. via the VEGA project assistant. Close
the parameter window of the sensor, as far as open.
G o in the PACTware menu bar to "Instrument data", "Additional
functions" and "Update instrument software".
PACT ware now checks the actual hardware and software version of
the sensor and displays the data. This procedure lasts approx. 60 s.
P ush the button "Update software" and select the previously
extracted hex file. Then the software update can be started. The
additional files are installed automatically. Depending on the sensor,
this procedure can last approximately 1 h.
