Question
Answer
Why does the charging
light not go on when I put
the parent unit in the
charger?
Perhaps the small plug has not been inserted properly into the
socket of the charger, or perhaps the adapter has not or not
properly been inserted into the wall socket.
Why can the parent unit
not be used cordlessly for
10 hours on a new
rechargeable battery pack?
The rechargeable NiMH batteries have to be charged and
discharged three times before they reach their full capacity.
Why does the operating
time of the rechargeable
battery pack decrease after
each new charge?
The battery pack approaches the end of its life and soon has to be
replaced. The life of the battery pack will be shortened if you leave
the parent unit continuously connected to the mains by placing it in
a plugged-in charger.
Why does the charging
light on the charger remain
on after I have charged the
batteries of the parent unit
for at least 14 hours?
The charging light goes on as soon as you place the parent unit in
the charger. When the batteries are fully charged, the light dims but
stays on to indicate that the charger is connected to the mains.
Why are the batteries of
the parent unit empty long
before the end of the 10-
hour operating time that
is mentioned in the user
manual?
Perhaps you use a new battery pack that has to be charged and
discharged three times before it reaches its full capacity.
Perhaps you have been using the battery pack for quite some time.
In that case, the pack may approach the end of its life and therefore
have less capacity.
Perhaps you have not used the unit for some time. Batteries lose
some of their charge even when they are not used. Recharge the
batteries to get full capacity.
Why can I not switch on
the parent unit immediately
after I place it in the
charger?
The batteries are probably empty. You have to charge them for
about 30 minutes before you can switch on the parent unit while it
is in the charger.
Why is the power-on light
on the baby unit not on?
Perhaps the baby unit is not or not properly connected to the
mains. Insert the small plug in the socket on the unit and insert the
adapter in a socket.
If you operate the baby unit on batteries, the batteries are empty.
Replace the batteries.
Why does the power-on
light on the parent unit
blink red?
The batteries are low. Recharge the batteries.
