4.2 Operating
VEGADIS 174 is a universal indicating instrument for
all signal conditioning instruments, providing a
DISBUS-signal.
Proceed as follows to adjust both values:
• Select with the black rotating switch VEGAMET
ADDR. (1) the address number of the requested
signal conditioning instrument.
• Select with the red rotating switch DIS No. (2) the
DIS-number (channel) of the selected signal condi-
tioning instrument. If a processing system
VEGALOG is connected, the DIS-number must not
be adjusted. The rotating switch (2) is in this case
without function.
• Check the correct selection of the signal condition-
ing instrument by pushing the key ADDR. CHECK
(5). The display indicates alternately the address
number (e.g. Addr. 1) and the DIS-number (e.g.
no. 1).
5 Diagnosis
The following fault signals are displayed on VEGADIS 174. Further fault signals are stated in the operating in-
struction of the signal conditioning instrument or of VEGALOG.
