Mounting instructions
VEGASEL 543 … 547 can be either installed with a
module into a carrier BGT 596 or BGT 596 Ex.M or a
single housing type 505.
Module
Multiway connector DIN 41 612, series F, 32-/33-pole
(d, b, z) has coded key and material for mounting into
carrier BGT 596 or BGT 596 Ex.M.
Single housing
Plastic housing type 505 for single mounting of signal
conditioning instruments with a width 5 TE (25,4 mm).
Mounting carrier
Mount the module (standard and Ex-version) on the
respective carrier BGT 596. Wire the connections of
the multiway connector acc. to the wiring diagrams on
the following page.
The multiway connector is available in the following
version:
-
Wire-Wrap standard connection 1,0 x 1,0 mm
- plug connection 2,8 x 0,8 mm
- Termi-Point standard connection 1,6 x 0,8 mm
- soldering connection
- screw terminals 2 x 0,5 mm 2

Mounting single housing
You can either thread the socket directly to the
mounting plate or plug onto the carrying rail
(TS 35 x 7,5 acc. to EN 50 022 or TS 32 acc. to EN
50 035). Connect the terminals to the basic board acc.
to the wiring diagram on next page. For further
mounting information see operating instruction of the
housing.
Coding
Mechanical coding in the form of a pin in the multiway
connector and a hole in the multiway plug ensure that
when replacing a module card only the same card
type can be inserted. The pin (attached to the
instrument) belongs to the module and must be
inserted into the specific position when mounting the
module.

Transparent cover
The front panel of VEGASEL can be provided with a
lockable transparent cover to avoid unauthorized or
inadvertent use.
