Set-up

Signal lamps

LEDs in the front panel indicate the operating status
and switch condition.

Green

-

Operation control lamp(14)

-

Mains voltage ON, instrument operates

Yellow

-

Relay control lamp (12 and 13)

-

The yellow control lamp reacts acc. to the adjusted
mode (A/B).

-

Generally the relay control lamp indicates the
activated condition of the relay.

-

An unlit control lamp means the relay is de-
energized.

Coded key

In the front panel the coded keys are located, by
which the switch point (single level switches) as well

as the switching hysteresis (two-point level switches)
can be adjusted. The values are stated in % and relate
to the current or voltage input. By pushing the "+" or "–"
key the falling or raising values are adjusted in 1 %- or
10 %-steps swiitch block.

DIL-switch block

The DIL-switch blocks are located on the circuit board
of VEGASEL:
-

1 … 4 DIL-switch blocks for the output (outputs
acc. to VEGASEL-type)

-

1 DIL-switch block for the input

The function label beside the DIL-switch block
describes the function of the individual switches.

Explanation of the function label

Mode

B = protection against dry

running of pumps;
A = overfill protection

Hysteresis = 1 % or 3 %

without function

Input:

0 … 10 V/0 … 20 mA or

2 … 10 V/4 … 20 mA

U = voltage input
I = current input

The demonstration as example relates to VEGASEL
545. This type includes a single point level switch as
well as a two-point level switch.

The operation of the other level switches is the same.

The outputs can be adjusted independently.
