Vehicle Diagnostics
Erase Codes
The Erase Codes function deletes DTC data from the ABS control
module. Do not perform this function while the vehicle is in motion.
The Tool must be connected to the vehicle to run this function.
Perform Erase Codes function only after the ABS system has been
checked completely and the DTCs have been written down or printed.
After servicing the vehicle, erase stored DTCs and verify that the
codes have been cleared. If a DTC returns, the problem has not been
fixed or other faults are present.
The vehicle may need to be driven to conclude that a fault is repaired.
From the Diagnostic Menu :
1. Select Erase Codes .
• From the Diagnostic Menu,
press the UP or DOWN
arrow key until Erase Codes is
highlighted.
• Press ENTER.
If diagnostic results and codes are
not to be erased, select No .
• Selecting No takes you back
to the Diagnostic Menu.
2. Erase the diagnostic results
and codes.
• Press the LEFT arrow for Yes.
3. Observe Command Sent
message
4. Return to the Diagnostic Menu.
• Press BACK .

Diagnósticos del vehículo
Borrar códigos
La función Borrar códigos elimina los datos del DTC del módulo de
control del ABS. No realice esta función mientras el vehículo está
en movimiento. La herramienta debe estar conectada al vehículo para
ejecutar esta función.
Ejecute la función Borrar Códigos solamente después de que el
sistema ABS se haya comprobado por completo y se hayan escrito
o impreso los DTC.
Después de dar servicio al vehículo, borre los DTC almacenados
y verifique que los códigos se hayan borrado. Si vuelve un DTC,
el problema no se ha solucionado o se encontraron otras fallas.
Puede ser necesario que el vehículo esté en funcionamiento para
concluir que se reparó una falla.
Desde el Menú de diagnóstico :
1. Seleccione Borrar Códigos .
• Desde el Menú de diagnóstico,
presione la tecla de dirección
ARRIBA o ABAJO hasta
que Borrar códigos quede
resaltado.
• Pulse INTRO.
Si decide no borrar los resultados
de diagnóstico y los códigos,
seleccione No .
• Al seleccionar No regresa al
Menú de diagnóstico.
2. Borrar los resultados de
diagnóstico y los códigos.
• Presione la flecha IZQUIERDA
para seleccionar Sí.
3. Observe el mensaje Comando
enviado.
4. Vuelva al Menú de diagnóstico.
• Pulse RETRO.
