Cable lock and key

information completely. Keep these operating instruc-
tions in a safe place for future reference.

WarnIng
► Run the cable of the Notebook lock so that it does
not pose a tripping hazard or block emergency exits.
4. attaching and operating the notebook lock
nOTE
► We expressly recommend writing down the key number,
which is stamped on the keys, and storing it in a safe
place.
► If the keys are lost, our service department requires the
key number in order to provide assistance.
► We accept no liability for any damages resulting from lost
keys or key numbers.
• Attach the cable to a fixed object, such as the foot of a
table or a cupboard.
• Open the lock by turning the key clockwise (the locking
hooks must be parallel).
• Pull out the key by turning it counterclockwise.
• Insert the lock into the lock jack on the notebook. (a)
• Press the locking button on the lock. It is locked when this
clearly clicks into place. (b)
5. Open the notebook lock
• Open the lock by turning the key clockwise.
• Pull the lock out of the lock jack. (c)
