■ STARTING ENGINE
The cutting head will start rotating
upon the engine starts.
1. Rest the unit on a flat, firm place. Keep
the cutting head off the ground and
clear of surrounding objects as it will
start rotating upon starting of the
engine.
2. Open the fuel shutoff valve. (OP1)
3. Push the tickler lever and check the
flow of fuel into the overflow pipe. (OP2)
4. Move the choke lever to the closed
position. (OP2)

5. While pulling the throttle lever
(OP3,1,2), set the ignition switch to the
“I (START)” position and release the
throttle. Then the throttle lever is in to
the “start position”. (OP3)

6. While holding the unit firmly, pull out the
starter rope quickly until engine fires.

• Avoid pulling the rope to its end or
returning it by releasing the knob. Such
actions can cause starter failures.
7. Move the choke lever downward to
open the choke. And restart the engine.

8. Allow the engine to warm up for a
several minutes before starting
operation.
1. When restarting the engine immediately
after stopping it, leave the choke open.
2. Overchoking can make the engine hard
to start due to excess fuel. When the
engine failed to start after several
attempts, open the choke and repeat
pulling the rope, or remove the spark
plug and dry it.

■ MISE EN MARCHE DU MOTEUR
Faire attention que la lame de coupe se
mette à tourner dès que le moteur
démarre.
1. Poser la machine dans un endroit plat
et ferme. Ne pas poser la tête de coupe
sur le sol et dégager tout objet pouvant
être projeté par la lame qui se met à
tourner dès que le moteur démarre.
2. Ouvrir le robinet de carburant. (OP1)
3. Presser le levier du bouton de noyage
et vérifier le débit de carburant à travers
le tuyau de tropplein. (OP2)
4. Placer le starter en position fermée
(OP2).

5. Tout en ramenant la manette de
commande des gaz vers vous,
commutez l’interrupteur d’allumage en
position “I (START)”, puis relâchez la
manette.Puis positionnez la manette
des gaz en “position de démarrage”.

(C) Interrupteur de démarrage.
6. Tout en maintenant fermement la
machine, tirer la poignée de démarrage
(OP4).
• Eviter de tirer à fond sur la corde de
démarrage ou de relâcher brutalement
la poignée. Ces opérations risquent
d’endommager le système de
démarrage.
7. Ramener le levier du starter vers le bas
pour le remettre en position ouverte. Et
redémarrer le moteur (OP2).
8. Laisser le moteur chauffer pendant
plusieurs minutes avant de commencer
à travailler.
1. Pour redémarrer le moteur aussitôt
après l’avoir arrêté, laisser le starter en
position ouverte.
2. Trop tirer sur le starter risque de rendre
le moteur difficile à démarrer à cause
