Enter COM Port Property Values
To enter the COM port values:
1. In the COM1 Properties dialog (Figure 2-13) enter the
following:
*This setting must be “fixed”. Some programs will over-ride
this setting and will attempt to find the fastest speed.
Ensure the accuracy of these settings. Other settings will not
produce the desired results.
2. Click OK and a blank window opens.
Bits per second: 9600 BAUD*
Data bits: 8
Parity: No or None
Stop Bits: 1
Flow control: Either setting
