The following describes how to connect multiple IEEE1394 devices including the
CRW3200IX drive to the computer.
Connecting in a daisy-chain
This method is used to connect in series multiple IEEE1394 devices to one
IEEE1394 port. Up to 17 IEEE1394 devices (including the host adapter) can be
connected through one channel.
Connecting in a tree
This method is used to connect in branches multiple IEEE1394 devices through the
device, host adapter for example, with more than two IEEE1394 ports. Up to 63
IEEE1394 devices (including the host adapter) can be connected.
Connecting Multiple IEEE1394 Devices
A single daisy-chain can contain up to 17 devices including
the host adapter.
