13 RADIO TEXTLINK OPERATION

(EDACS ONLY)

Radio TextLink provides a simple means of exchanging text messages. This section describes how to
send messages if the Radio TextLink feature is enabled.

To send a text message:

1. Select

SEND MSG

with the



and scroll through the list of pre-defined messages using the





keys.

2. Select the desired message with the



key.

3. Using the





, scroll through the list of available IDs and select the desired ID with the



key.

To view received messages:

1. Select

RD MAIL

with the



key and scroll through the list of received messages the





keys.

2. Selecting a received message with the



key will bring up a reply to sender option.

To delete messages:

Selecting

DEL MAIL

with the



key will allow you to delete ALL of the messages in the inbox.

To view the current time:

Select

TIME

with the



key to retrieve the current date and time.
