APPENDIX A: CALIBRATION

MANUAL RESET
A Manual Reset returns the OM-550 to a "known" condition. This is useful when
troubleshooting or learning to program the unit.
A Manual Reset programs the OM-550 as follows:
•
CH1 is a Voltage channel, m=1.00000, b=000000, dp=4, units = (63) "V".
•
CH2 is a Type K thermocouple Temperature channel.
•
CH3 through 5 are Skipped
•
CH6 is Skipped but defined as CH4+CH5, decimal fix=1, units = .00 (Blank)
•
The Temperature Units for all temperature channels are °C.
•
The Real-time Clock/Calendar is initialized to 00:00:00 01/01/00.
•
The Log Interval is 00:00:30 (30 seconds).
•
The OM-550 is in the Normal (not the Calibration) mode.
•
Tadjust = 00.0
•
The Rejection Frequency = 60Hz.
•
The data cache contains 100 "phony" points of data for channels 1 & 2.
•
The OM-550 is programmed to overwrite a full cache.

PERFORMING A MANUAL RESET
1. Turn the unit “OFF”
2. Press & hold the 5 key
3. Momentarily press the ON key
4. Release the 5 key
A collection of messages similar to the one shown in
Figure A-1
will be printed.
