Select a desired channel to record using CHAN-
NEL K/L buttons or Number buttons.

Press DVD RECORD button to start recording.

NOTE:

• Recording starts immediately and continues until the disc is

full or you stop recording.

mark will be displayed for 5 seconds.

To pause the recording, press PAUSE F button.
Press DVD RECORD button to restart the
recording.

NOTE:

• You cannot change the recording speed during the REC

pause mode.

• You can change a channel during the REC pause mode.

Press STOP C (DVD) button to stop recording.

NOTE:

• This operation may take a few minutes to complete.

Checking the recording picture quality

You can confirm the recording speed you have
selected before recording to a DVD disc.

While the unit is in STOP or REC with a record-
able DVD disc inserted, press REC MONITOR
button.

The TV program will be shown on the screen
with the recording speed you have selected.
Please confirm this is the speed you wish to
record.

NOTE:

• The recording picture can be confirmed with the Rec moni-

tor function. (See "Recording Speed" on page 48.)

To change the recording speed, press REC
SPEED button, then use K/L buttons.

The recording speed will change as you press
the button as shown.

NOTE:

• You cannot change the recording speed during recording.

Press REC MONITOR button again to exit.
