SETTING UP
After removing the lawnmower from the carton remove any loose packaging between the
mower base and handle bars used for transport.
Handle bar assembly-
refer figure 1
•
Lift the upper handle bars off the mower
and swing over to align with the lower
handle bars.
•
Hand tighten the two black knobs to hold
the upper handle bars in position
•
To fold the handle bars for storage loosen
the two black knobs and fold the handle
bars forward. Taking care not to damage
the throttle control cable.
Grass catcher assembly-
refer figure 2
•
Position the catcher top over the catcher
bottom
•
Align all the barbs on the catcher top with
the slots in the catcher bottom
•
Press firmly down on the catcher top to lock
the barbs in to the slots
Engine oil-
Refer to the engine manufacturer owner’s manual
The engine fitted to the Scott Bonnar lawnmower is shipped with no oil in the sump.
Oil must be added before attempting to start the engine otherwise damage to the engine
will occur.
Engine fuel-
Refer to the engine manufacturer owner’s manual
Use only fresh unleaded petrol in the lawnmower engine.
Removing the grass catcher
•
Raise the rear flap of the mower with one hand and with the other hand lift the grass
catcher up and away from the rear of the mower.
•
Lower the rear flap against the rear of the mower.
Adjusting the height of cut-

The Scott Bonnar lawnmower has nine height
settings controlled by the height adjustment lever
located at the rear right hand wheel.
•
Grasp the height adjustment lever and pull
the lever away from the base to disengage
the lever from the base.
•
Move the lever either forwards or backwards
to the desired position and release the lever
so as to engage in the base.
The grass catcher should only be fitted or removed when
the engine is stopped. Never raise the rear flap when the
engine is running

OPERATION
Installing the grass catcher
•
Raise the rear flap of the mower with one hand and with the other hand grasp the grass
catcher by the top handle, and insert into the rear opening. Positioning it against the rear of
the mower.
•
Lower the rear flap so that the back edge of the flap hooks over the lip of the grass catcher.
