Noise-Canceling Desktop Computer Microphone
Your RadioShack Noise-Canceling Desktop
Computer Microphone is designed for vocal
transmission and speech recognition appli-
cations in computers and public address sys-
tems. Its noise-cancellation technology filters
out background noise so the voice is trans-
mitted clearly.
Its other features include:
Hands-Free Base — lets you place the mi-
crophone on a desktop, freeing your hands
for other tasks while you speak.
Flexible PVC Rubber Gooseneck – lets
you adjust the microphone to a convenient
position.
Gold-Plated Stereo Plug — for excellent
contact to the connected device.
INSTALLATION
1. Turn the base upside down and pull the
gooseneck’s cable into the base until the
gooseneck is resting against the base.
2. Flip the base over and align the goose-
neck’s two mounting tabs with the
matching slots on the base, then press
the gooseneck into place.
Note: Position the extra length of the
gooseneck cable inside the base prop-
erly so the base stands steadily.
3. Guide the microphone cable through the
groove on the base. Press it down and
secure it with the tabs.
4. Insert the microphone cable’s plug into
your audio equipment’s microphone
jack.
INSTALLING BATTERIES
When connecting the microphone to an am-
plifier, install two AA batteries (not supplied)
in the battery compartment inside the micro-
phone base to power the electret condenser
microphone element to amplify the micro-
phone signal the amplifier requires.
Place the batteries in the compartment as in-
dicated by the polarity symbols (+ and –)
marked inside.
You can operate the microphone with or
without batteries when connecting to a com-
puter’s microphone jack which does not re-
quire amplified microphone signal.
When the microphone stops operating prop-
erly, replace the batteries.
Warning: Dispose of old batteries promptly
and properly. Do not burn or bury them.
Cautions:
• Use only fresh batteries of the required
size and recommended type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries or dif-
ferent types of batteries.
