SCANNING THE STORED
CHANNELS
To set the scanner to continuously scan through all chan-
nels with stored frequencies, simply press
SCAN . SCAN
and appear on the display, and the scanner begins to
rapidly scan upward until it finds an active frequency.
If the scanner finds an active frequency, it stops and dis-
plays that channel and frequency number, then it automat-
ically begins scanning again when the transmission ends
on that frequency.
Notes:
• To reverse the scanning direction, press or .
• To set the scanner to remain on the current channel
for 2 seconds after the transmission ends, see
“Using a 2-Second Delay” on Page 33.
• To set the scanner to remain on the current channel,
even after the transmission stops, press MANUAL at
any time during the transmission so MAN appears
and SCAN disappears from the display (see “Moni-
toring a Stored Channel” on Page 30).
• To lock out channels so the scanner does not stop
for a transmission on those channels, see “Locking
Out Channels” on Page 32.
