Alarm
Why is my alarm not sounding when I’ve set the time?

Ensure that you have enabled the alarm by setting the Alarm
On/Off field to ‘On.’ When the alarm is set, a bell icon appears
on the Home screen. See page 151 for information on setting
this field.
Battery
Can I use a NiCd rechargeable alkaline or any other non-NiMH
cell in my handheld in conjunction with the charging cradle?

It is not recommended to use a NiCd rechargeable alkaline or
any other non-NiMH cell. We suggest using the Sanyo NiMH
model HR-3U or the other cells indicated in this manual. See
page 22 for more information on installing the battery.
How can I conserve battery life?
Following these suggestions will help you get the most out of your
rechargeable NiMH cell or single-use alkaline battery.
