Troubleshooting

Recorder 2.
Symptom
Possible cause
Possible remedy
No video display.
Unit has no power.
Ensure that unit is 
plugged in correctly. You 
should see a green LED 
on the front panel if it is 
plugged in correctly. 
Refer to “About the Neu-
ros MPEG-4 Recorder 2” 
on page 3.
Cable connecting AV Out 
to video monitor is not 
properly connected.
Refer to “Connecting to a 
TV (viewing only)” on 
page 11 for information.
Remote control not 
functioning.
Obstruction in front of 
infrared sensor on 
Recorder 2.
Ensure that a line of sight 
exists between the 
remote control and the 
sensor on the Recorder2.
Low battery power.
Replace battery in the 
remote control.
Memory card not 
recognized by the 
Recorder 2
Card not inserted 
properly.

MS Duo/Pro Duo, MMC 
or SD Series Card” on

about proper handling of 
memory cards. Never 
force memory cards into
