Formatting the Card
Usually, it is not necessary to format the card
(initializing). Format the card when this
message is displayed “MEMORY CARD
ERROR”.
• If the card has been formatted by a PC or
other equipment, format the card on the
camera again.
[Preparation]
• Set the mode dial to playback [
]. (P25)
1 Press the [MENU] button.
2 Press 3/4 to select [FORMAT] and
then press 1.
3 When this message is displayed
“DELETE ALL DATA ON THE
MEMORY CARD?”, press
2 to select
[YES].
4 Press the 4/[REVIEW/SET] button.
• The card is formatted.
• After formatting, recorded images and
any other data cannot be recovered.
• When the remaining power is low, use the AC adaptor.
• During formatting, do not turn the power off.
• If the card cannot be formatted, consult your dealer.
