Transferring Photos to Your Computer
1 Turn the camera off.
2 Turn your computer and peripherals off (Serial transfers only).
Do not turn your computer off when using the computer’s USB port.
3 Locate the connector cable.
It includes plugs to connect
to the camera and to your
computer’s Serial or USB
port (as shown).
Note: USB transfer rates are faster than Serial.
4 Connect the Serial plug (a) or the USB
plug (b) to your computer.
Caution:If the USB connection is not tight,
the plug may pull out. Check that
it is fully inserted every time you
transfer photos.
Note: For help with the Serial or USB port
on your computer, read the
computer’s instruction manual or contact the computer manufacturer.
5 Insert the other end of the cable (c) straight into the camera without
twisting (and with the arrow on the plug facing the front of the camera). If
you feel resistance, do not force the plug; reposition it and try again.
