Using the AUX source
You can connect an auxiliary equipment to
this unit using a stereo mini plug cable.
% Insert the stereo mini plug into the
input jack on this unit.
For more details, refer to the installation man-
ual.
Selecting AUX as the source
% Press SRC to select AUX as the source.
# If the auxiliary setting is not turned on, AUX
cannot be selected. For more details, see Switch-
ing the auxiliary setting on page 25.
Setting the AUX title
The title displayed for the
AUX source can be
changed.

After you have selected AUX as the
source, use MULTI-CONTROL and select
FUNCTION to display TITLE INPUT.

Enter a title in the same way as the
built-in CD player.
For details concerning operation, refer to En-
tering disc titles on page 18.
Switching the button
illumination
This function is available only for DEH-5000UB.
You can change the color of the button illumi-
nation.
% Press ILL to select a button illumination
color.
KEY appears in the display.
Each time you press
ILL the color changes:
RAINBOW (rainbow)
—WHITE (white)—
SKY BLUE (sky blue)
—OCEAN BLUE (ocean
blue)
—DEEP BLUE (deep blue)—PINK (pink)
—RED (red)—AMBER (amber)—ORANGE (or-
ange)
—GREEN (green)—PURE GREEN (pure
green)
—CUSTOM (custom)
Notes
! RAINBOW setting cycles continuously
through all the colors.
! CUSTOM is an adjusted color that you create
(refer to Adjusting the illumination color on the
previous page).
! If you do not operate the function within about
eight seconds, the display is automatically re-
turned.
Switching the display
illumination
This function is available only for DEH-5000UB.
You can change the color of the display illumi-
nation.

Press ILL and hold until DISP appears in
the display.

Press ILL to select a display illumination
color.
Each time you press
ILL the color changes:
WHITE (white)
—SKY BLUE (sky blue)—
OCEAN BLUE (ocean blue)
—DEEP BLUE
(deep blue)
—PINK (pink)—RED (red)—
AMBER (amber)
—ORANGE (orange)—
GREEN (green)
—PURE GREEN (pure green)—
CUSTOM (custom)
Notes
! When the color of the button illumination is
set to
RAINBOW, the display illumination is
changed to
RAINBOW simultaneously. If you
want to change the display illumination,
change the button illumination to colors other
than
RAINBOW, and then operate the display
illumination function.
! CUSTOM is an adjusted color that you create
(refer to Adjusting the illumination color on the
previous page).
