Firmware is the software in the player that controls the whole player.
Periodically Polaroid will release new fi rmware that addresses the
addition of new features and the improvement of existing features. It
is recommended that you always keep your PMP up-to-date with the
latest fi rmware. Updating fi rrmware is discussed in more detail in the
‘Updating Firmware section.
As there may be new fi rmware already available for your PMP, please
perform the following steps to make sure have the latest and greatest
features available to you.
Warning : Connect the AC Adapter to your player during the
upgrade process to prevent a loss of power. Loss of power during
a fi rmware upgrade can corrupt the fi rmware on your player and
prevent it from functioning.
1. Go to the support section on www.polaroid.com/support and
download the latest fi rmware for your PMP
2. Connect the USB Cable to your PC and to your PMP.
3. When prompted to select a connection type on the player,
select “Media Player”
4. Your PC will likely prompt you with a window asking you
what you want to do with this connection. You do not need to
select anything.
5. Double-Click on the fi rmware fi le you downloaded and follow
the on-screen instructions.
