Fitting the helical spring
j
Insert the narrower end of the helical spring 4 into the opening
of the multifunctional holder 7 . Ensure that the outwardly bent
end of the helix points upwards and insert it into the recess provid-
ed for it in the multifunctional holder
7 (see arrow in Fig. C).

Push the helical spring 4 into the opening as far as it will go.

Turn the helical spring 4 clockwise to fix the multifunctional
holder 7 in place.

Inserting / replacing soldering tips
CAUTION! DANgER OF BURNS! Allow the soldering
pencil to heat up without a soldering tip.
1. Insert a soldering tip 2 into the soldering pencil 1 to a depth of
half of its shaft length.
2. Tighten the clamp screw 3 using a Phillips screwdriver.

Remove the soldering tip only when the device has been switched
off and the soldering tip 2 has cooled.
