Powerline ethernet adapters
• The SYK3600 package contains two SYE3600 powerline ethernet adapters.
• The SYK5600 package contains two SYE5600 powerline ethernet adapters.
Troubleshooting
Problem Tip
The security CD does not start. Start the security CD manually:
1. Open My computer.
2. Right-click on the CD or DVD drive.
3. Click on Autorun.
The lights on the powerline
ethernet adapter do not come on. Plug the powerline ethernet adapter into an active
power supply.
The PL-LINK light does not
come on. Connect two or more powerline ethernet adapters
to the home powerline wiring.
Plug the powerline ethernet adapters into active
power supplies.
Disable the personal security of all powerline
ethernet adapters. Refer to ’Disable security’ on
page 12.
Unknown devices can access my
network. Enable personal security. Refer to ’Enable security’
on page 12.
I can access unknown devices on
my network Enable personal security. Refer to ’Enable security’
on page 12.
The speed between my powerline
ethernet adapters is low Refer to ’Powerline ethernet networks’ on page 14.
The COL light flashes or comes
on. The COL light can flash or come on under normal
circumstances.
