1. Run Category 3 (minimum) cable from the SWIFT-485+ to a terminal or
J-kit. If you connect directly to a terminal, use an RJ-45 or RJ-11
connector on the end that plugs into the terminal
2. Connect the AC power cord adapter to each terminal and plug the cord
into a wall outlet
3. Repeat these steps for each terminal in the network

Connecting Terminals via RS-485 (Multi-Drop Configuration)
A multi-drop network connects up to 31 terminals or sync time devices to the
computer. You wire the terminals to junction boxes running in a single line
starting from the SWIFT-485+. Terminals can be located up to 4000 feet from
the computer
1. Run Category 3 (minimum) cable from the SWIFT-485+ to the first J-Kit
(junction box)
2. Use a cable (up to 4 feet long) with an RJ-11 connector on both ends, and
plug one end into the J-Kit (junction box)
3. Plug the other RJ-11 connector to a terminal
4. Connect the power cord (AC adapter) to the terminal and plug the cord
into a wall outlet
5. For the next terminal, run cable from the previous J-Kit (junction box) to
the next J-Kit (junction box) and repeat steps 2, 3 & 4
