You make decisions carefully—and base them on facts. The
Vulcan
®
1600 Classic is your kind of cruiser. Motivated by a big
95 cubic-inch fuel-injected V-Twin tuned for outstanding low-
and midrange torque—and civilized by an engine balancer and
rubber mounts—the Vulcan 1600 Classic provides true big-bike
performance without the premium price. But you’d never know it
by taking in the dramatic styling and rich two-tone paint. The low
seat height and relaxed riding position. Good choice.
1
The Vulcan 1600 Classic features a smooth yet powerful
1,552cc (95 cubic-inch), OHC V-Twin engine. Tuned to deliver
strong acceleration, the throttle response is there when you
need it out cruising the boulevards and highways.
•
Kawasaki’s classic cruiser performance is backed by solid
Kawasaki engine technology: Advanced, reliable liquid cooling.
Efficient 4-valve alloy cylinder heads. Lightweight pistons. And
single overhead cams.
2
For excellent front braking performance that translates
into rider confidence, the Vulcan 1600 Classic features dual
300mm disc brakes with strong 2-piston calipers.
•
The tank-mounted electronic speedometer has an LCD display
for fuel level, odometer, tripmeter and clock. The flangeless,
smoothly shaped fuel tank holds 5.3 gallons.
• The digital fuel injection system features dual 36mm throttle bodies
and a precisely mapped digital ignition. The result is excellent
throttle response under a wide variety of riding conditions.

The Vulcan
®
1500 Classic is like Kawasaki’s original V-Twin cruiser. Its 90 cubic-inch engine develops plenty of road-
burning power while its chassis features a slightly shorter wheelbase, chromed wire-spoke wheels and twin taper-style
mufflers for a lighter, sportier appearance. To keep you riding instead of wrenching, the Vulcan 1500 Classic also features
maintenance-free hydraulic valve lash adjusters, digital ignition, reliable liquid cooling and shaft drive. What else did you
expect from a Kawasaki cruiser?

The 1500 Classic lives up to its name with signature styling cues like the twin shotgun-
style exhaust pipes with tapered tips, wire-spoke wheels front and rear, round headlight
and deeply valanced fenders.
•
Thanks to its 50-degree 90 cubic-inch V-Twin engine, the 1500 Classic produces great
low-end torque that’s perfectly comfortable on city streets or cruising down the highway.
•
Advanced engineering includes efficient liquid cooling, four valves per cylinder, electronic
fuel Injection, dual spark plug digital ignition, engine balancer and hydraulic-operated
manual clutch.
2
The speedometer, fuel gauge and warning lamps are centrally located on top of the wide
5.0-gallon fuel tank. A large-diameter, chrome-plated halogen headlight illuminates the
open road and provides a distinctive classic look.
•
An extra-low 27.6-inch rider seat height and a plush passenger seat mean the 1500 Classic is a
comfortable cruiser for riding solo or with a friend.
•
A silky-smooth 5-speed transmission combines great around-town acceleration with relaxed
highway cruising. Kawasaki’s exclusive Positive Neutral Finder will help make finding neutral
much easier every time you stop.
