REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF THERMOSTAT
FOR ELECTRIC FRYER
(part # 031099)
REMOVAL:
1.
Disconnect electric power source.
2.
Drain oil into approved container and set aside.
3.
Loosen two thermostat bulb clamps on upper element and slide clamps away from
thermostat bulb.
4.
Remove thermostat knob by carefully pulling it straight out from control panel.
5.
Remove dial plate by removing three screws and pulling it from control panel.
6.
Remove control panel.
7.
Remove two screws which hold thermostat body to control panel.
8.
Disconnect two wires from thermostat body, carefully noting connections.
9.
Remove contactor shield by removing two screws.
10.
Completely loosen compression nut holding thermostat bulb.
11.
Completely loosen reducing bushing (“compression fitting”) from fryer vessel.
12.
Remove complete assembly from fryer vessel.
The Keating Thermostat controls the temperature of the fryer within a pre-selected range for the
purpose of cooking food products.
