Protect
Important files can be protected. A protected file cannot be erased by any of the camera’s delete
functions. However, the formatting function (p. 71) will erase all files on a memory card whether pro-
tected or not.
Use the up/down keys of the controller to highlight the
protect option.
Press the right controller key to continue.
Use the up/down keys to highlight the media or unit
option.
Press the right controller key to display the settings.
Use the up/down keys to highlight the new setting.
Press the right key or menu button to complete the
selection.

MEDIA SD
The media option specifies the card on which the files are protected; SD for a SD Memory card or
MultiMediaCard, and MS for a Memory Stick. The unit option specifies whether some (SELECT) or
all (ALL ON) files are protected; The ALL OFF option cancels the protection on all files.
