Troubleshooting
Turntable
PROBLEM
The turntable will
not turn.
CAUSE
• You have turned off the turntable. (See the “Using 2-4 Plates” section on
page 20.)
• The turntable is not correctly in place. It should be correct-side up and sitting
firmly on the center shaft.
• The support is not operating correctly. Remove the turntable and restart the
oven. If the support still does not move, call a designated service technician
for repair. Cooking without the turntable can give you poor results.
Tones
CAUSE
• You have turned off the tone. (See the “Audible signals” section on page 14.)
PROBLEM
You do not hear the
programming or
end-of-cycle tone.
If none of these items are causing your problem, see the “Requesting Assistance or Service” section.

Display messages
If the oven detects an internal problem, it will run a self-checking program and a screen
similar to the one shown here will appear. If this occurs, please call KitchenAid at
1-800-422-1230 for assistance.
Display contrast
CAUSE
• The display contrast is not set correctly. To adjust display contrast: TURN to
select Custom. PRESS for next screen. TURN to select Display Contrast,
PRESS and follow directions.
PROBLEM
The display is hard to
read.
