MEANING
NO SIGNAL z Poor connection of the digital cable.
z No output signal comes out from the
connected unit to playback.
(Use the AC power for the connected
unit.)
z The input signal has improper sam-
pling frequency.
NOT PLAY z You tried to play back a track that
cannot be played with this equip-
ment.
PLAY MD z You recorded on a playback-only
disc.
POWER ? z Improper power is being supplied.
PROTECTED z The write protection tab of a Mi-
niDisc is set to the protected posi-
tion.
z You tried to record on a playback-
only disc.
SORRY z Since a track number is currently
being located or updated, the unit
cannot accept your command.
(Wait for a whilst and try the operation
again.)

MEANING
TEMP OVER z The temperature is too high.
(Turn off the power, and wait for a
whilst.)
TOC FORM
(**) z There is an error in the recording
signal.
(Erase all of the tracks, and then
record again.)
TOC FULL z There is no space left for recording
character information (track names,
disc names, etc.).
Tr. Protect z The track has been protected from
being erased.
(Edit the track with the device on which
it was recorded.)
? DISC z A disc which contains data other
than music was played.
(A disc which contains nonmusic data
cannot be played.)
z There is an error in the signal re-
corded on the disc.
