Before Use
Safety and Regulatory
Pursuant to FCC regulations, you are
cautioned that any changes or modifications
not expressly approved in this manual could
void your authority to operate this equipment.
To prevent radio interference to the licensed
service, this device is intended to be operated
indoors and away from windows to provide
maximum shielding. Equipment (or its
transmit antenna) that is installed outdoors is
subject to licensing.
Only use Wireless LAN indoors when using it
with IEEE 802.11a/n (5 GHz).
High power radars are allocated as primary
users (meaning they have priority) of 5250-
5350 MHz and 5650-5850 MHz and these
radars could cause interference and/or damage
to this device.
This device uses 5 GHz band for wireless LAN
communication and the maximum gain of the
antenna in this device is 6 dBi.
This equipment complies with FCC/IC
radiation exposure limits set forth for an
uncontrolled environment. This equipment
should be installed and operated with
minimum distance 20 cm between the radiator
and your body (excluding extremities: hands,
wrists and feet).
This device and its antenna(s) must not be co-
located or operating with any other antenna or
transmitter except Grant condition.

Introduction
This product is the wireless adapter with
a USB connector. It is for use with Sony
products only. You can use this product by
connecting it to the USB port of a system
(such as a TV, Blu-ray Disc Player, Blu-ray
Home Theatre System, etc.).

Using the USB Wireless LAN
Adapter
Connect the USB Wireless LAN Adapter to the
USB port of a system (such as a TV, Blu-ray
Disc Player, Blu-ray Home Theatre System,
etc.). The optional product lineup differs
depending on the area.
Notes
 The location where the transmission is
most effective differs depending on the
usage environment. In this case, use the
Unique 1.5 m extension cable. Be sure to
connect to target devices or the supplied
extension cable. Connecting to other
devices or other cables may cause
communication failure.
 Check precautions and instructions about
the usage location of the product. For
details, refer to the operating instructions
of each product.
