Refer to the tractor operator’s manual to ensure a
complete pre-operation inspection and scheduled
service is performed according to manufacturer
recommendations. The following is a partial list of
items requiring inspection:

Tire condition/air pressure

Wheel lug bolts

"

Steering linkage

"

PTO shield

"

SMV sign is clean and visible

"

Tractor’s lights are clean and functional

"

Tractor Seat belt is in good condition

"

Tractor cab or ROPS is in good condition

"

ROPS is in the raised position

"

No tractor oil leaks

"

Radiator free of debris

"

Engine oil level and condition

"

Engine coolant level and condition

"

Power brake fluid level

"

Power steering fluid level

"

Fuel condition and level

"

Sufficient lubrication at all lube points

"

Air filter condition

8.1 Tractor Pre-Operation Inspection/Service

8.2 Cutter Pre-Operation Inspection/Service

Before each cutter use, a complete inspection and service is required to ensure the cutter is in a good and safe
working condition. Damaged and/or broken parts should be repaired and/or replaced immediately. To ensure the
cutter is ready for operation, conduct the following

Perform scheduled lubrication as detailed in the
maintenance section.

Ensure all decals are in place and legible.

"

Ensure driveline is securely attached to tractor.
Make sure the driveline yoke clamping cone is
securely seated in the grooves of the PTO shaft
and tightened.

Inspect that the 3-point hitch pins are the proper
size, correctly installed, and secured to the tractor
lift arms with retaining pins inserted.
