To specify the IP address

Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) from the
component list of the Local Area Connection
Properties, then click Properties.
The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog
box appears.

Click Obtain an IP address automatically, then
click OK.
The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box
reappears.

Click OK.
The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box
closes.

Click .
The Network and Dial-up Connections window
closes.
Proceed to the next section,To verify the computer
name and workgroup on page 34 upon completion of
these instructions.
