Operating Instructions
1. Adding Water
•
Open lid and add water.
Note:
•
Do not add water directly under faucet, to
prevent wetting the control panel or power
receptacle and cause malfunction.
•
Do not add water above the FULL line.
•
Do not wet the control panel.
•
When closing the lid, ensure a “click” is heard.
•
Before initial use or after a long period of
storage, boil a full tank of water and discard.
2. Connect Power and Boil
•
Connect the power cord to unit’s receptacle
first, then to outlet.
•
Once power is connected, unit will begin
boiling water. Boil indicator will light.
Note:
•
Do not open lid while boiling. Hot
steam/vapor may cause scalding.
3. Keep Warm
•
Once water is boiled, unit will automatically switch to Keep Warm mode.
•
Keep Warm indicator will light
•
Water temperature will be maintained around 208˚F (suitable for instant
coffee, tea, instant noodle, etc).
4. Re-Boil
•
To reboil water, press the REBOIL button, Boil button will light.
5. Dispensing Water
•
Place cup under spout and press DISPENSE.
6. Dry-Boil Protection
•
Unit automatically shuts off (all indicator
lights off) when there’s no water in the tank or when water level falls
within the red mark.
•
Add water immediately.
Cleaning, Maintenance and Storage
Minerals in tap water may cause white residues to attach to the surface of
the inner tank or sometimes change the inner tank reddish or black in
color. Clean the interior frequently to avoid this problem.
•
Unplug unit from power source and allow unit to cool down.
•
Do not wash under running water.
•
Do not immerse unit in water or any other liquid.
•
Do not spray water onto the control panel.
•
Do not use bleach, alcohol or other harsh chemicals.
•
Do not scrub with metal pads or sharp objects.
Lid and Body
•
Wipe clean with damp cloth.
Power Cord
•
Wipe clean with dry, soft cloth.
Filter (located on bottom of inner tank)
•
Remove and clean with soft brush and lukewarm water.
•
If extremely dirty, use Citric Acid.
•
Ensure filter is properly re-installed before operation.
Inner tank and Inner Lid
•
Wipe with clean soft sponge and rinse clean.
•
If the interior is excessively dirty, clean with Citric Acid:
a) Add approx. 1 oz of Citric Acid.
b) Add water to the Full line.
c) Close lid and connect power.
d) Allow solution to boil and soak for 30~60 minutes.
e) Press DISPENSE button to dispense a few cups of solution to clean the
piping.
f) Disconnect power and allow unit to cool.
g) Remove lid and dump out solution, rinse clean.
