Switching the device on and off
To switch the device on, turn the

clockwise over a small resistance.
To switch the radio off, turn the

anti-clockwise, and over the small resistance, until it comes
to a stop.
Receiving radio transmissions
Using the

frequency range switch FM/AM o, select the
required waveband:
FM = Very High Frequency (VHF),

AM = Medium Wave (MW).

For VHF reception, extend the telescope aerial

to its full
length and then determine its best positioning.
The device has a built-in aerial for the reception of MW

transmitters. To improve reception, if needed, turn the radio
until it is in the most favourable position.
Turn the transmitter calibration TUNING

, to receive the
desired radio station. Use the tuning scale s for orientation.
In the case of VHF transmitters, reception strength is shown

by the TUNE indicator e . The brighter it glows, the better
the reception.
Select the desired sound volume with the

OFF/VOLUME
