Input test target data
There are two ways to input the result of the test target data into the light meter: 1) Sekonic Data
Transfer Software - install application software from the included CD-ROM and connect the com-
puter and light meter via USB, and 2) Direct Input - Manually enter the test target data directly into
the light meter.
2-1 Sekonic Application Software
Data Transfer Software is included with the L-758DR, L-758D and L-758CINE. The Software
application CD-ROM includes the Data Transfer program for Exposure Profiling, USB drivers
and the software instruction manual. The Data Transfer program provides the following:
* Camera calibration compensation
* Dynamic range setting (+/-)
* Clipping point setting (+/-)
* Camera Exposure Profile data transfer (to the light meter from a computer via USB connec-
tion)
* Camera Exposure Profile data transfer (to the computer from the light meter via USB connec-
tion)
2-1-1 Outline of software
1)
Sekonic Data Transfer Software Exposure Profiling Program offers several choices for
custom calibrating the L-758DR (L-758D or L-758CINE). Below is the flow chart of menu
selections within the program.
2)
Up to 3 cameras, 2 light sources and 2 measuring methods can be selected and set for
custom calibration. Each camera, light source or measuring method is stored, recalled
and displayed within the light meter's internal software, once the data has been transfer
to it.
3)
Data can be entered into each of the setting parameters (Compensation Value, Dy-
namic Range +/- and Clipping Point +/-) individually or by using the "Two Points Input"
calculator. The "Two Point Input" calculator automatically computes two settings perim-
eters and sets all values from ISO 3 to ISO 8000.
