Durability and a low impact on the environment
have long made Subaru vehicles the choice of

natural world. By eliminating pollutants during
the production process and creating efficient,
low-emission vehicles, Subaru works diligently
to protect that beauty and the earth we all share.
Zero Landfill
In 2004, Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) became
the first manufacturing facility in the U.S. to reach
zero landfill status—nothing from its manufacturing
efforts ever goes into a landfill.
Protecting Wildlife
In 2003, SIA became the first U.S. automotive
assembly plant to be designated a wildlife habitat.
Subaru shares the site with numerous natural
residents including deer, blue herons and beavers.
