Press the POWER key.
1: The backlight will only light when you
press the LIGHT button
2: The backlight will light when you press
any buttons except the VOLUME +/–,
MUTING, CHANNEL +/–, RECALL
and COMMANDER OFF buttons

Press COMMANDER OFF.

While pressing COMMANDER
OFF, press LIGHT.
The number which shows current
Automatic-Off time and the arrow
indicating the current brightness of
the backlight stay lit. Other numbers
and the opposite arrow will flash.

Press one of the 1 – 9 keys to
select the Off time.
For example, to set the Automatic-Off
time to 20 seconds, press the 2 key.
“2 “ stops flashing and stays lit.

Press the R or r button, to select
the brightness.
To brighten, press R, to dim, press r.
The chosen arrow stays lit.
