4200 ANSI Lumens XGA Resolution BrilliantColor™ DLP
®
Data/Video Projector
1) Scope. This specification describes a 4200 ANSI Lumens XGA (1024 x 768) native resolution single-lamp data/video projector utilizing BrilliantColor
DLP technology with six-segment color wheel to project vibrant, high resolution computer and video images onto a large screen or wall. Projector
shall be designed for professional use.
2) Input / Output Terminals. Projector shall incorporate a DVI-I (RGB/HDCP) digital/analog input, RGB/component input (15-pin), S-Video and
composite video input terminals, two stereo audio inputs, stereo audio line output selectable for either “VAO” variable audio-output or fixed audio-
output, and RGB loop-through output. Control and communications terminals shall include RJ-45 LAN, USB and RS-232C.
3) Audio System. A high-output 10 watt audio system (stereo – 5 watts per channel) shall be built into the unit. Stereo Audio line-out terminals
(RCA L/R connectors) shall further be incorporated to enable the projector to be easily interfaced with an external sound system or powered
loudspeakers.
4) Projector Brightness. Projector shall be able to achieve full stated 4200 ANSI Lumens lamp brightness using a single projection lamp. A low
power “Eco + Quiet” mode shall be provided, offering approx. 75% of stated ANSI Lumens brightness. ANSI Lumens brightness specification shall
be provided based on overall average values of the product at time of shipment and in conformation with ISO (International Organization for
Standardization) 21118-2005.
5) Projector Lamp. Lamp shall be end-user replaceable with front lamp access (for easy lamp replacement). Lamp wattage shall be 330W. A
shutter door on the lamp housing shall be utilized to keep glass components confined in the event of lamp breakage.
6) Network Connector. An RJ-45 Network Connector shall be provided to permit remote access by web browser, diagnosis and auto e-mail
sending, and ability to link to a specific website for service and support.
7) Display Manager™ Software. Sharp Display Manager Software shall be available as a free download (over the internet) for multiple projector
management and monitoring for theft protection.
8) BrilliantColor DLP with Six-Segment Color Wheel and DLP Sealed System. The projector shall incorporate BrilliantColor DLP technology
with a six-segment color wheel and DLP sealed optical system with filter-free design for superb dust resistance and low cost of ownership.
9) Closed Caption Decoder. A closed caption decoder shall be built-in to the projector and shall incorporate black and white text for easy
readability. Compatible modes shall include CC1 and CC2.
10) Presentation Assist Functions. An IR (infrared) wireless remote control with presentation assist functions shall be included with the unit. These
functions shall include page up/down, a GUI (Graphic User Interface) pointer, spotlight and mouse control. The pointer shall offer a choice of five
on-screen icons and the spotlight function shall highlight a box or row of information on the screen.
11) Slide Lens Cover. A slide lens cover shall be integrated into the projector to protect the lens from dust and provide instant lens shutter. As a
safety feature, the projector shall automatically turn off in the event the lens cover is kept closed for a period of more than 30 minutes.
12) Anti-Theft Design. Projector shall include theft-protection features including a LAN remote monitoring function, reinforced metal security bar,
metal security plate (for use with ceiling bracket) and Kensington
®
lock compatibility. The manufacturer shall offer optional heavy duty security
cable kits. One optional security cable kit shall be offered for use with the manufacturer’s ceiling mounting bracket. Another security cable kit shall
be offered for use in applications where the manufacturer’s ceiling mounting bracket is used in coordination with an extension mounting tube.
13) Zoom Lens. A manual zoom/focus lens shall be incorporated into the projector, providing a 1.15x zoom ratio (f =21.0~24.2mm) F2.5~2.7
14) Contrast Ratio. Projector shall have a specified contrast ratio of 2500:1
15) Fan Noise. Fan noise shall be specified as 37 dB in Bright mode and 30 dB in Eco+Quiet mode.
16) Projected Screen Size. Projector shall be designed to project a screen size from 40” diagonal to 500” diagonal.
17) Computer RGB Compatibility. Projector shall provide the following computer RGB compatibility: UXGA and WSXGA+ (analog RGB, with
intelligent compression), SXGA+ and WXGA (with intelligent compression), XGA, SVGA, VGA and Mac
®
21”, 19”, 16” and 13”. Horizontal frequency
specification shall be 15 – 110 kHz and vertical frequency specification shall be 45 – 85 Hz.
18) DTV / HDTV Compatibility. Projector shall provide compatibility with DTV and HDTV sources including 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p, 576i, 540p,
480p and 480i. Projector further shall be compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM video systems.
19) Control System Compatibility. Projector shall offer compatibility with Crestron
®
, AMX
®
, Extron
®
and Bitlogix
®
control systems.
20) On-Screen Display Languages. Projector shall be selectable for the following display languages: English, German, Spanish, Dutch, French,
Italian, Swedish, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Hungarian, Turkish, Arabic, Persian, simplified Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
21) Power Source, Power Consumption and Heat Dissipation.
a) Power source shall be 100 Volts – 240 Volts, 50/60 Hz, with 4.5 A input current.
b) Power consumption shall be 429 W (10.2 W in standby) at 100V AC; 408 W (10.8 W in standby) at 240V AC.
c) Heat dissipation shall be 1610 BTU/hour with AC 100V (Bright Mode) / 1200 BTU/hour with AC 100V (Eco+Quiet Mode); 1530 BTU / hour with
AC 240V (Bright Mode) / 1150 BTU / hour with AC 240V (Eco+Quiet Mode).
22) Size and Weight.
a) The projector main body shall measure 15-3/4” width, 3-15/16” height and 13-13/64” depth. Weight shall be approx. 12.8 lbs.
b) A carry handle shall be integrated into the design of the unit.
23) Safety Approval. The Projector shall be UL approved and conform to FCC Class A. Projector additionally shall include a detachable 3-wire
(grounded) AC Line Cord.
24) 24-Hour Turnaround Express Repair Warranty. The projector shall carry a 3-year parts and labor limited warranty. Warranty shall include,
for the three years, a 24-hour Turnaround “ER” Express Repair support option provided at no charge by the manufacturer. Warranty on the user-
replaceable projector lamp shall be 90 days.
25) Accessories.
a) Supplied Accessories. Supplied accessories shall include: Wireless Remote Control with Mouse Control, two AA batteries, 6’ AC Power Cord
(Grounded, 3-Wire), 10’ RGB Signal Cable, Operation Manual and CD-ROM.
b) Optional Accessories. Optional accessories offered by the manufacturer shall include Ceiling Mounting Bracket (AN-XGCM55), Ceiling Mount
Extension Tube (AN-EP101B), Angle-Mount Joint for use with ceiling mounting bracket – for vaulted ceilings (AN-JT200), 16” Security Cable Kit
for use with ceiling mounting bracket (AN-CMCSS16), 46” Security Cable Kit for use with ceiling mount and extension tube (AN-CMCSS46), 10’
3-RCA to 15-pin D sub cable (AN-C3CP2), Remote IR Receiver – for forward / reverse presentation control in ceiling mount installations (AN-
MR2), Hard Shell Wheeled Storage Bag (AN-D400WCC), “ATA” Style Shipping Case (AN-D400SC) and Replacement Lamp Module.
c) Replacement / Spare Lamp. Manufacturer, for user convenience, shall offer the replacement lamp module both as a sales accessory and
as a service replacement part. Part number for this lamp module shall be AN-D400LP (when procured as a sales accessory) and AN-D400LP/1
(when procured as a service replacement part).
