Up-converts DV/HDV-SD50p input signals or DV/DVCAM/
HDV-SD50p recorded tape playback signals, and sets the video
mode for output from the COMPONENT OUT or HDMI OUT ter-
minal.
FULL : The 4:3 angle of view is stretched to 16:9 and displayed.
Set here to up-convert tapes recorded in 16:9.
SIDE P:The 4:3 angle of view remains, with both sides in black.
Set here to up-convert tapes recorded in 4:3.
HDMI MODE

RGB (01)
Selects the video mode to output from the HDMI OUT terminal.
AUTO: Automatically outputs video to match the video mode of
the connected monitor. Usually, this setting is used.
RGB : Outputs RGB video. Use this setting when video is not
displayed properly on the connected monitor.
DVI COLOR

ENHANCED (01)
Set this item when connecting the HDMI OUT terminal to a DVI
(Digital Video Interface) terminal on the monitor.
STANDARD : Standard mode. Usually, this setting is used.
ENHANCED: Enhanced mode. Select the video of your choice
(image quality, color density, black blending).

For setting the aspect ratio of the output from the HDMI OUT ter-
minal and the COMPONENT OUT terminal. Set according to the
aspect ratio of the monitor.
FULL
: Sets for aspect 16:9 monitors such as multiformat
COMPONENT and HDMI monitors.
LETTER
: Outputs aspect ratio 16:9 video such as HDV sig-
nals, to 4:3 and other non-16:9 monitors.
SIDE P.
: Shows 4:3 screen as widescreen video blackened
on both sides when playing tapes recorded in
aspect ratio 4:3 in 576/50p mode on the GR-PD1
on a 16:9 monitor.
Memo
Aspect ratio is fixed regardless of these settings when outputting
480I or 576I video.

OFF : Does not output test signals.
