Blade changing on the ProShop saw

requires the included blade wrench

and a single finger to depress the

arbor lock.

Blade changing on the JET ProShop 10" Table Saw is

easier than ever thanks to a pushbutton arbor lock
that is built into the table surface! A specially

shaped wrench is included that fits the blade-
retaining nut and the nuts retaining the splitter

assembly.

While bringing the motor inside of the cabinet, we

moved the sometimes difficult to reach bevel stop
adjusters to the outside. Making these adjustments

is now a matter of inserting the included 4mm hex
wrench into sockets in the table surface to fine-tune

the 0-degree and 45-degree blade tilt stops.

The JET ProShop 10" Table Saw is powered by a 1 ¾ Hp TEFC (totally enclosed fan
cooled) motor that comes wired for 115V operation but can be converted to use
220V power. This high-power motor develops a stable 3600-rpm arbor speed,

optimum for cutting woods of all species. Designed for long-term maintenance-free
use, the motor has built-in thermal protection that shuts it down in the event of a

bind at the blade that could damage it. A user-accessible reset button on the motor
gets you get back to work after the problem is remedied and the motor has cooled

sufficiently.

An additional benefit of
locating the motor
within the cabinet was

clearing the way for the
addition of an effective

dust collection system
to the JET ProShop 10"

Table Saw. The rear
dust cover (with an

integral 4” dust collector
hose connection) is
secured by four finger

knobs, making access to
the cabinet for

maintenance quick and
tool free.

Locating the motor fully within the cabinet (left) allowed us to add

effective dust collection in the form of a special cabinet floor and this

rear cover (right) featuring a molded in 4” hose connection.

The new fence system is built around a heavy gauge steel tube and T-square-style

base rather than an aluminum extrusion. A pair of 2 ½”-tall aluminum faces flank the
steel tube. In addition to providing a straight, smooth surface for guiding material,
the overall square shape of the fence makes building and using shop-built jigs easy.

We even added a slot along the top of the aluminum fence faces that accepts
common ¼ - 20 hex head bolts to make installing shop-made jigs fast, easy and

very secure. The T-square base has easy to use adjustments that make aligning the
fence parallel to the miter slots and its faces square to the table a fast, precise task

that is not often repeated.
