Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragms.
Infinity’s patented Ceramic Metal
Matrix Diaphragms reveal all the
nuances of today’s music and film
recordings by virtually eliminating
unwanted resonances.The key
is a ceramic compound called
alumina. Three times as stiff as
titanium – and 85 times stiffer
than felted paper – alumina is
bonded to a metallic substrate
to create a three-layer sandwich.
CMMD adds bass impact to
each Beta model, and delivers
open, detailed and clean mid
and high frequencies.

Ultrathick, contoured baffles provide
a rigid, stable platform for the drivers
while simultaneously minimizing unwanted
edge diffractions off the baffle.

Infinity’s patent-pending CAI
waveguide, which delivers several
significant additional benefits

Constant Acoustic Impedance
increases the sensitivity of the
high-frequency driver, creating
more dynamic headroom, thus
enabling a seamless sonic transi-
tion between the tweeter and the
lower-frequency transducers in
both two- and three-way systems.
With the Constant Acoustic Impedance (CAI)
waveguide, the full effect of the CMMD
tweeter can be realized, resulting in cleaner,
more uniform sound throughout more of your
listening environment.
