8 If necessary, press the VOLUME up or down button on your
boombox or remote control to adjust the volume.
9 (Optional) Press the PRESET EQ button on your boombox or the
EQ button on your remote control to select the equalizer mode.
You can select CLASSIC, JAZZ, ROCK, or POP. The equalizer
mode you selected appears on the display.
Charging the iPod battery
To charge the iPod battery:
1 Make sure that you have installed the correct iPod bracket in the
iPod slot on your boombox.
2 Turn on your iPod.
3 Insert the iPod into the bracket with the display facing out.
When you insert the iPod, it goes into standby mode, then turns
off. The battery charging indicator appears on the iPod display.
Tip
You use the same controls to control iPod playback that you
use to control CD playback. For more information, see
“Controlling CD playback” on page 20
Note
The iPod shuffle’s battery will charge while connected to
your boombox.
