B. Adjusting Brush Position
Stop engine.
After installing brushes, adjust
brush position as follows:

Brush Holder

Brass Sleeve
3
Brush

Slip Ring
Loosen brush holder bracket
mounting hardware. Move bracket
until brass sleeves are positioned
as shown. Tighten hardware.
Reinstall side panels and cover.
If operation is still not okay, have a
qualified machine shop turn and
polish slip rings.
